Let’s Play This Exiting F1 2009.

Today I’d like to talk about such an extremely absorbing Wii game as F1 2009. The last game of the Formula 1 came in 2006 on the PlayStation 3 and it was reproduced for the 2006 season. But the license to produce games for F1 expired for Sony and then it was bought by Codemasters. Later, it was announced that the studio Sumo Digital responsible for the Wii-version of DiRT 2 was busy with developing a game for the 2009 season of Formula 1, exclusively for Wii and PlayStation Portable. The presentation was appointed on November 2009. It was two weeks after the end of the F1 championship on the track Yas Marina. So F1 2009 came out. Let’s discuss it.

As you know people usually start talking about graphics when they want to discuss a certain video game. I’m not going to break this law. Let me tell you a few words about graphics in this game. Prior to the game, many questions arise about the quality of graphics. The matter is that the screenshots, particularly the very first ones looked very scary. But on the other hand I should inform you that I got this game in 2009 and it seemed to me at that time graphics wasn’t so bad. I enjoyed bright colors, authentic car models of the 2009 season. By the way developers haven’t changed the course of the tournament from that time. You can even see an animated team of mechanics at the pit-stop! And what about the tracks? In general you can enjoy the atmosphere of the holiday. But certainly there are certain downsides even in this promising game. For example wheels aren’t so good to my great regret. They are not hexagonal, but they still look ugly. Moreover I think that textures of cars should have been much better. But I’d like to repeat once again that in general graphics isn’t so bad. I saw much worse games.

And of course such an important element of video games as sounds also should be mentioned in this case. In fact sounds are rather exciting. When playing this game you can hear the roar of the engine as well as the excited roar of the crowd. Moreover you’ll be also pleased by the sound of the collision. But as for the menu I can say that the music in this case is somewhat boring. It seems to me exactly this music can be considered to be the weakest element in this game. Perhaps you aren’t likely to perceive music when playing video games but for other people pay a great attention to music. In fact it’s up to you to make a final decision in this case. I hope you’ll like the atmosphere of virtual motor races.
